Kim
brings soccer, teaching, and camp coordination experience
to PVSC.
Currently a tenth grade English teacher at Perk Valley HS,
she also serves
as the HS Girl's varsity soccer and softball coach. Kim
started her coaching career in softball in 2000 and
continues to coach
softball as the Perk Valley varsity head coach. She
became the Perk Valley
Girl's varsity soccer coach in 2003, only the second coach
in PV girl's
soccer history, and was named Pac-10 Co-Coach of the Year
in her rookie
season. She recently completed her USSF National
"D" coaching license as
well.
Kim is a graduate of
Ursinus College where she starred in both soccer and
softball and was co-captain and co-MVP of her nationally
ranked softball
team while being a 4 year varsity letter winner for both
soccer and
softball. Prior to entering Ursinus, Kim was co-Captian of
her "WAGS" club
soccer team which won the Division II State Championship.
Also serving as a
co-captain of her high school team, she helped lead
Centennial to the
Maryland Class 3A State Championship, the fourth title in
school history.
Additionally, Kim was the Wendy's HS Heisman state
finalist in 1998.
Kim has coached soccer at all levels from PeeWee to HS,
and she served
eight years as the director of the "Sports and
More" camp in Columbia,
Maryland before moving to the Perk Valley area
permanently.
