Winter Programs

This winter, we will once again be offering our indoor Winter Programs at the Variety Club in Worcester   There are 2 separate programs being offered.  You can sign up for any or all  depending on the age of players.  All programs will be held at the Variety Club Gymnasium, 2950 Potshop Road, Worcester PA

We suggest you register quickly, these programs are very popular, and always sell out. The system is set to roll over to wait list after the first 24 kids for Academy, and the first 48 for Futsal-   We will fill out available spots for each age group from waitlist

• Skills/Academy -age 6&7 ( U8) and 8,9&10 ( U10)-   This is a  development program for children already playing Intramural Soccer in one of our Leagues. The program will consist of a single 1 hour sessions for each age group, held from 6:00-8:30 Friday evenings January 6th through February 24th  at the Variety Club Gym in Worcester.  The kids will be broken into age appropriate groups, with the younger kids at 6:00 and the older at 7:15.  Each session will involve a  blend of technical skills work, learning and development games, and small sided free play. This program is a great chance for your child to get small group instruction with licensed coaches . It is also a great skills builder for potential travel players. • Adult Futsal- NEW FOR THIS SEASON!!!!!!!!!   Coach Alex Pecora will be our program lead for this program-   Games will be Friday night  from 8:30- 10:00 , January 6th through February 24th at the Variety Club.  Depending on registration, this will be either a mini league or an open game format. We have had a lot of interest so we'll see how it works out-   Older teens are encouraged to play in this Division  instead of the Saturday League-

• Open Soccer/Futsal- age 8-18  This is a  game based program, with small sided teams playing futsal, a fast paced, indoor form of soccer played on a hard surface with a  special ball. This program will run on Saturday afternoon/evenings from January 7th until February 25th  between 4:00 & 8:00. Each group will play a single, weekly session of about an hour. We will break this down, and confirm session times as we break the kids into age groups.   Each session will consist of a single futsal match.  Our program lead is Coach Alex Pecora

All programs will be held at the  Variety Club Gym in Worcester.  The address is 2950 Potshop Road, Worcester PA 19490, it is on Potshop Road off of Route 363

When:

• Skills/Academy- This program will run on Friday Nights from January 6th until February 24th, between 6:00 & 8:15 PM 

• Youth Futsal-This program will run on Saturday  afternoon/evenings from January 9th until February 25th  between 4:00 & 8:00. 

• Adult Futsal- This program will run on Friday nights from 8:30-10:00

What ( you need to bring) :

Every child should be dressed to play, this is an indoor, heated facility, we suggest they wear shorts and a tee shirt under weather appropriate outer clothes.  Every player will need shin guards, a water bottle, and non- marking sneakers- low tops are better for soccer than basketball shoes-

• Snow or Weather Cancellations-   We will let everyone know what is going on, but common sense will prevail, if the schools are closed, or if there is a blizzard, then we are going to cancel-   If there is a 20% chance of flurries, we will probably go for it-

• There will not be reschedule of any sessions

• You will be receiving a couple of system emails as we get closer to the season. Please be patirnt, we wont be sending info until around the Holidays when we post the rosters and the schedules,    Please make sure you have the App installed on your phone-   That will be our primary tool for snow days, scheduling, and program communications-
